11/6 Friday Awesomeness: Interaction+Projection
Another Friday, another set of awesome Vimeo videos. This week I hunted around in the New Ways of Interaction group and found some sweet videos for your viewing pleasure.
LOOMO PROJECT 01 MYSLEWICKI PALACE by Loomo
Showcases some awesome work with architecture projection on a palace in Poland. Check out some of the other Loomo videos for other projection experiments.
Hit the jump for the rest of Friday Awesomeness.
Breeze Reflection by Djeff
Pretty stellar idea. We’ve all seen the interactive screens, projections, and lightwalls, but this one takes it a bit farther by implementing hundreds (?) of little fans that react to your motions. I’m sure the tactile experience has got to be quite unique as your movement is translated into the physical movement of another object and elicits a tactile feedback.
Ringo: The Holigraphic Round Interface by Ivan Tihienko
Pretty neat concept video showing off a possible UI for a device that projects visual data into the real world. I can imagine if something like this were as widespread as the iPhone our world would collapse into visual clutter, but the overall idea and execution are really nice.
Projection on Buildings by NuFormer Digital Media
Another cool video of building projections. The first video up top did a good job of creating a presentation synched with sound, but this video shows off some awesome effects and play with very form of the building itself. More than enough to stop me mid-stride if I saw it out in the wild.
Have a good weekend everybody! If you dig the videos, leave a comment or RT the link and give these awesome projects some word-of-mouth!
