A Short Love Story in Stop Motion by Carlos Lascana. I remember seeing this a while back, but was struck again by the awesome mix of stop-motion, traditional animation, CG, sound effects all slammed together in a concise but impacting short.
Lastly, I think I might be developing a crush on Kirsten Lepore. She does awesome stop-motion pieces that have a great old-school, playful aesthetic to them. Really stands out in a world overrun with CG graphics these days. I think it’s only fair to show her thesis project, Sweet Dreams…
but I’ve got to admit, I really really like her short reel bumper:
