Neat little design from Cam of SquidSpot. Not only is it aesthetically awesome, but I can see this legitimately helping out with type selection quite a bit. Well done. (Although: uh oh, drop shadow alert.)

I must be some kind of weirdo, as I’m pretty sure I’m the only one out of my design friends who looked at this when it cropped up early last week and thought “meh.”
I think I’ve seen too many “Periodic Table Of…” things lately.
Yeah I gave a big ol meh to the InDesign Periodic Table that popped up because it was ugly. I honestly meh’d this one at first too…but then I realized it could be of great use to actually have it handy and quickly glance over a good helping of typefaces instead of going into FontExplorer and clicking through one at a time.
